KPI Green Energy has provided an update on the execution progress of its 2.57 GWp renewable energy IPP portfolio, comprising approximately 1.16 GWp of energized capacity and around 1.41 GWp under active execution. The portfolio includes solar, wind, hybrid renewable energy and battery energy storage projects, supporting the company’s transition towards an asset-backed Independent Power Producer (IPP) model backed by long-term power purchase agreements. Key developments include the commissioning and energization of projects at Khavda and across its solar and hybrid portfolio, alongside new wind and utility-scale BESS initiatives.

KPI Green Energy Limited has provided an update on the execution progress across its 2.57 GWp renewable energy IPP portfolio, with approximately 1.16 GWp of capacity already energized and the balance of around 1.41 GWp under active execution.

The company’s growing renewable energy IPP portfolio includes solar, wind and hybrid projects, supported by long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), mostly with tenures of up to 25 years. The portfolio reflects KPI Green Energy’s strategic transition towards an asset-backed Independent Power Producer (IPP) model, complemented by its established EPC capabilities.

Among the key developments, KPI Green Energy has successfully commissioned and started injecting power from its 200 MW / 240 MWp solar IPP project at Khavda Solar Park (South Block).

The project is among the early projects to become operational within the 1.8 GW solar park developed by GSECL and is connected under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

KPI Green Energy has also achieved grid synchronization and started power injection ahead of the scheduled July 2026 commercial operation date for its 50 MW / 92.15 MWp hybrid project.

The project comprises 16.95 MW of wind capacity and 75.2 MWp of solar capacity, demonstrating the company’s execution capabilities in complex hybrid renewable energy projects. The project is connected under a long-term PPA with GUVNL.

The company is also progressing with its 620 MW / 1,027 MWp solar and hybrid renewable energy IPP portfolio, for which two long-term PPAs were executed with GUVNL in October 2024.

Under its 250 MW / 350 MWp solar project, KPI Green Energy has commissioned 180.70 MW / 251.13 MWp capacity on a phased basis, while the remaining capacity is under active execution.

Similarly, under its 370 MW / 677 MWp hybrid project, the company energized an additional 130 MW / 195 MWp during August 2026, taking the total commissioned capacity to 269.70 MW / 389.70 MWp. The remaining capacity continues to be under active execution.

Beyond its solar and hybrid projects, KPI Green Energy is advancing its wind energy portfolio. Its 150 MW wind project has achieved financial closure and is expected to be commissioned within the scheduled timeline. Meanwhile, PPA signing is under process for a 300 MW wind IPP project.

The company is also strengthening its presence in energy storage through its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Limited. The subsidiary has executed Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreements (BESPAs) with GUVNL for two standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects with a cumulative capacity of 565 MW / 1,130 MWh.

These developments expand KPI Green Energy’s capabilities across renewable generation, grid stability and energy management solutions, further strengthening its position in India’s evolving clean energy landscape.

With a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, hybrid renewable energy and utility-scale battery storage, KPI Green Energy continues to advance its renewable energy IPP portfolio while building a long-term asset-backed business model supported by contracted power projects.

The continued energization and execution of projects across its portfolio are expected to support the company’s renewable energy growth strategy and reinforce its presence across India’s clean energy transition.
